Guest sentiment
A snapshot of what local diners frequently mention about this location.
"Hakka cuisine in Nawamin area Quick service, tasty food, tidy space, reasonable price. The restaurant easily can be a comfort dining spot for nearly eaters. Street parking is available around the restaurant. One minor letdown is the restaurant closes quite early in the evening (18:30)."
"When coming to BaTong food, this place is definitely the go. Food is soooooooo gooooood, esp. Stirred fried Pak Naam, that s the MUST."
"Betong, the southern border district of Thailand, is renowned for its delectable array of local dishes that blend Thai and Chinese influences. A shop in Betong has embraced its cultural heritage by incorporating the town's name and offering these mouthwatering delicacies. Among their famous offerings is Betong's chicken, which boasts a distinctively sticky and flavorful meat. Another standout dish is the Betong Water Vegetable, a truly unique culinary creation. In addition to these specialties, the shop also serves Bak Kut Teh, a renowned Singaporean soup, as well as a selection of other Chinese and Thai dishes that are not overly spicy. In conclusion, a visit to this shop is a must-try experience for anyone seeking an authentic taste of Betong's culinary treasures."
"Very nice betong food can be found here and also my childhood comfort food lo mai kai also sold here ( very very rare food in thai ) . Most of the food here are very well done and unique like no other. Recommended dishes are the betong chicken , the herbal pork soup , braised mui choi kao yok is good as well and not to forget their lomaikai. Foods for two the bill come at 518 baht which was quite reasonable for me. Definitely will come back again."
"Such a quiet place during Saturday for lunch. Chinese food style, it is fine taste, not so complicated but I do love it. Price per person is considered high, compared to restaurant’s vibe. Wo-Pang is the best, must try!!!"
"Unseen down south traditional Thai-Chinese food, Baytong of Yala province. Signature with Chicken with lean skin and many more. Better try local Thai dish in different taste style."
"Betong is a province in southern Thailand. The cuisine combines elements of Thai and Chinese flavors. I recommend trying dishes like Betong’s Chicken."
"Original Baytong food by Baytongian Chef ! The restaurant is pretty homy style if you like and the price is pretty acceptable and the ingredients are good quality. I love their Bun(Salapao) which tender and full of stuff. Other menus are mostly satisfied, only some are a bit over price or too oily. However, I have visited for 2 times already and willing yo go back again. Parking available around street corner."
